Dear Reviewer!
To improve the quality of published materials in the journal “Izvestia of the Lower Volga Agricultural University Complex”, which is among the best Russian journals on the Web of Science platform, the article submitted to the journal’s editorial staff is submitted for review.
The content of the article should correspond to one of the following branches of science and groups of specialties:
Technical sciences Agricultural sciences
- 05.20.00 Processes and machines of agroengineering systems
- 01/06/00 Agronomy
- 02/06/00 Veterinary medicine and animal husbandry
The recommended volume of the article (together with the translation of the abstract and bibliographic list) is 10-12 pages (with one and a half intervals and 12 pins). UDC is required.
The review should comment on the main provisions of the article, give a reasoned assessment and draw conclusions about the degree of relevance, novelty, scientific significance and the possibility of publishing the work in the journal.
When reviewing, the following aspects are evaluated:
- compliance with the subject of the magazine;
- meeting the requirements for the selection of keywords;
- consistency and consistency of presentation;
- compactness and clarity of illustrative material;
- use of scientific terms (including correct spelling);
- degree of structured material of the article; *
- degree of originality and novelty of research results;
- theoretical and practical significance of the work;
- the validity of the conclusions presented in the article.
Starting January 1, 2017, 100% check of all articles for borrowing in all collections of the Anti-Plagiarism system was introduced to help reviewers, but, nevertheless, special attention should be paid to the legitimacy of borrowing (illegal ones are categorically not allowed). The permissible amount of citations (lawful borrowing) is not more than 30% of the total article in accordance with the provisions of COPE.
Particular attention should be paid to the completeness of the bibliographic list (at least 12-15 highly rated peer-reviewed sources WoS, Scopus, HAC (archive depth no more than 5-7 years), including those reflecting foreign studies of international level). In this case, it is necessary to control the process of unscrupulous citation (unreasonable "winding up" of quotes, as well as self-citation), incorrect citation (unjustified by the content of cited articles). Quoting should be maximum, but reasonable. Inadequate or excessive citation reduces the rating of the journal.
Conclusion:
- The article is recommended for publication without revision;
- The article is recommended for publication subject to the comments of the reviewer (without re-reviewing);
- The article is recommended for publication subject to revision and re-review.
- The article is rejected.
* The following components should be clearly distinguished in the article: 1 Introduction, 2 Materials and Methods, 3 Results, 4 Discussion, 5 Conclusions.
In addition, we draw your attention: according to the requirements of a journal of international level, the annotation should be as informative as possible and contain 150-200 words in Russian and 500-600 words in English. An English-language annotation is distributed on-line throughout the world.
